Dr Devdas Menon’s professional interests are primarily in the field of structural engineering. He is presently a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His professional activities include teaching, research and consultancy. He has a special interest in improving the prevailing engineering practice in India, with regard to various codes of practice, design and construction practices and quality of technical education.
